I was just wondering if there was a good source of information for a solar FIT installation and some of the complications or extra steps involved versus a microFIT (e.g. connection (is it 208V?), CAE, licensing, etc).

Let us know. Thanks.

Things change when you're at that level. You have to deal directly with the utility. The location matters A LOT. microFIT is streamlined for homeowners, and it's quick and easy relatively speaking. A FIT project is essentially a custom construction job, and you have to deal with the unique nuances of where and how you would connect it to the grid. The strong recommendation would be to talk to the local distribution company first before submitting your application. I believe OPA requires that you have done that first now. Each FIT project will be unique.

If you want to participate on a larger scale, or just don't have a good microFIT location yourself, you can always look into shared community systems, like these two that I know of:

Good luck!
