3 kw wind turbine

Hello group,

As spring approaches I am starting plans to complete my renewable energy system I would like to ask the group for some advice on a 3 kw turbine. My search did not provide me with many choices and I am not very fond of 2 belated system. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

How about the ARE 110 (http://www.abundantre.com/ARE_Wind_Turbines.htm#ARE110)? This is a 2.5kW turbine. ARE has a pretty good rep in the small wind world. They've been doing wind turbines for a long time.

ARE 110 is a great machine, and have you considered the Westwind 3kW?
Is it stand alone or grid-tie you are looking for? What is your average wind speed at what height?

Thanks guys for the information. A bit pricey but we all know you get what you pay for. I will do some more looking and see who the distributors are. Mario
