While his argument that charging via the local grid overnight in one country is "solar" because his PV panels in Lucerne are replacing carbon emitting fuels elsewhere is - um - possibly valid, I'd be more excited if he'd been completely self-sufficient, as in the Solar Challenge form Darwin to Adelaide.
That grumble aside, it's still a great achievement, and indicates that technology in this area is "getting there".
