I notice most of you guys are in Canada, so if you don't want my links let me know :)

This site has a map of the states and you can click on each state to see what specific incentives are active: http://www.dsireusa.org/.

There's also some federal incentives (visible somewhere on that page as well, i'd presume) one in particularly which is like a 30% refund for installing solar panels. I'll reply again when I find a link to that incentive in its original context.

Recently a friend of mine told me about the new federal tax legislation signed into law - the American Recovery and Re-investment Act of 2009.

This change allows consumers and small businesses to deduct from their tax liability 30% off the installed cost of a wind turbine.

I saved the federal tax form #5695 (http://www.briery.com/wind_turbine/federal_tax_form_5695.pdf) on my website if you need it.
