you are on the money ...the trees w/o leaves are bending as I write.
Too bad my turbine head is in the basement

Sent a note to Jack who gets the full brunt of these fronts, to see how his new 10 footer holds up and how much he can crank out. He doesn't have an anemometer, but I can easily determine what rpm he is spining at, since I know the load is one 4500watt/230v calrod = 11.5 ohms and he has 1.1:1 pulleys on a 194rpm/24v DC gen ..wouldn't be surprised if he cranks out <1KW ie 100v at 700rpm ...he can switch in a second identical load in series to slow it down

It was pulled from a nearby Lake Ontario Data Bouy ,
