It has come to my attention that some are finding it hard to manoeuvre around the forum. Here are a few tips that will hopefully make it easy as pie!

Threads with new content will show up in bold on the right hand side of the forum's main page (http://www.greenpowertalk.org/) (under the "Recent Threads" column). If you look closely at the rows in that column, you will notice two different little icons being used. One is a little arrow pointing down, http://www.greenpowertalk.org/images/buttons/firstnew.gif, this will take you straight to the first post in the thread that you have not read yet. The other icon is one pointing to the right, http://www.greenpowertalk.org/images/buttons/lastpost.gif, and clicking it will take you to the last post in the thread. Be sure to click exactly on the icon, clicking the thread title will simply take you to the beginning of the thread.

While the forum main page is the quick way to see what's new, you can also select the New Posts (http://www.greenpowertalk.org/search.php?searchid=41) menu selection at the top of each page. This will show a list of threads with recent additions, showing those with posts you have not read yet in bold.

Yet another way to tease out new posts is by looking at the forums list from the Forums (http://www.greenpowertalk.org/vb_index.php) entry in the menu at the top of each page. Forums with recent content will show up in a different color. Clicking on such a forum will once again show a list of threads and those with content you have not read yet show in bold. The same little arrow icons are present to help you navigate directly to the first new post.

If you find yourself going through lots of clicks, or scrolling through pages of posts, you are doing something wrong. There are easier ways, and the above should get you started in finding them.
Hope this helps!
