This doesn't seem to be getting much traction, so I'll venture a few suggestions. I should mention that my expertise is more on the small wind turbines (10kW and below), so this is for what it's worth...

WES seems to have a solid reputation. Made in the Netherlands (my home country, also a very windy place so you can bet they tested the c$@p out of it). Their WES18, a 80kW turbine (http://www.windenergysolutions.nl/wes18/index.htm), gets installed quite a bit. In my opinion it's sinfully ugly, but I suppose that's in the eye of the beholder. Word is that it works very well though.

The other one I hear mentioned often is Vestas (http://www.vestas.com/vestas/global/en/). Looks like they currently don't make any turbines in your range. I know they used to do so, such as their V15 (a 65kW turbine), possibly they are still available new or reconditioned.

Hi you guys,

I can recommend the Energie PGE made in Canada (where else), or more correctly, Quebec.

Their machines are all made on a similar frame, that being a downwind (yes, you got it right) variable-pitch, three blade, gear/induction generator with a diameter of 60'. These are relatively new on the market, expensive (but not too bad per kW for their new 60 k version and very well made. They are WAY better looking than the old re-done Lagerwey turbines mentioned by Rob. :-)

Thanks Matt! Sometimes one has to look closer to home... ;)
From what I can tell EnergyPGE (http://www.energiepge.com/)only has a 32kW turbine listed. So they also make a 60kW version? There's nothing on their Web site about it as far as I can tell. Must be brand new.

An EnergiePGE dealer told me their 60kW is still a year in the future.
