Hi Mark . That norson has the older model Grundfoss but does have a differential controller attached to the top. Oh and the newer pump curves. Paul:)

The model and date code is stamped on the end of the motor. The date code is the year and week eg: 8815 would be the 15th week of 1988. The wife of one of the Grundfos exec's pick the colors they paint their circulators.
Looks like a Goldline or Heliotrop General solar controller or setpoint control. Under the cover of the control you will find a date code also. Mark ..You can sequence start 2 grundfos units in series to get the flow going and maybe step back to one after that. See the Drawing. below. Paul

Hi Paul,
Wow!:) Thank you very much for the info.
All I need to know now is the Grundfos model number from Gerard. Looks like most of the models in your chart will work for my application of about 16 feet of head required without adding a second series plumbed pump.
Are you familiar with these Norsun 100 gallon heat exchanger tanks?
Thanks again.
Regards,
Mark

Actually I have never heard of them . In the 70's there were at least 30 differant solar manufacturers in Ontario,Canada. Lots of good products in there time and some still in use today.. Oh re; the circulators they should always be sized in the middle of the flow curve window (head Vs. Pressure ) so you don't have any issues of it not meeting capability for the Install. Paul:)
