It seems to me that this is a very good fit. I suspect a strong business opportunity exists to manufacture a clean integrated building product along these lines.

The PV side dictates a large surface area is required for average home electrical energy independance. This large surface area should also provide for all the home's heating requirements in temperate climates with appropriate thermal storage. The thermal side would need to be combined with absorptive cooling or other thermal cooling technologies for warmer climates.
