The other day I was trying to load greenpowertalk.org and the address was defaulting to this link (http://www.dns4me.com/) . Did you have the forum offline for updates or was this hijacking things on my End. No Issues since then Paul:)

Hi Paul,

No hijacking, but somewhat of a long story. The short of it is that the only Internet provider in my neck of the woods (Rogers) won't sell me a proper commercial account, despite my willingness to pay several times what I pay now for the same bandwidth. They know about and allow me to use a regular consumer-type account for commerce, but it does not have a static IP address. To work around that I use a service that a friend of mine (Rhinosoft.com) provides, named DNS4Me. It translates the fixed IP name (www.greenpowertalk.org) to the changing IP address. When it works, all is well. A few days ago that stopped working, unfortunately at the worst time as I'm in the Netherlands and have no access to my server machines. What you saw was the result. As far as I can tell I cought it within 24 hours, and I've rerouted the DNS records (not just greenpowertalk, but all my others as well) so they point to the current IP addresses. This will work for the time being, until I can sort out what's wrong with DNS4Me.

Another effect of that same problem is that my E-mail has unfortunately stopped working as well for the past 2 or 3 days. That also affects Green Power Talk, since new message notifications, new member confirmation messages and such go over E-mail. I'll be trying a rescue attempt later today, to get my wife (who's still at home where the servers are) to enable remote access to the servers so I can diagnose what's happening. Hopefully that'll solve things, if not, it'll be another week before I'm back in Canada.

An update to this story:
E-mail service has been restored as well. So, PM notifications, subscribed thread notifications, and all those other goodies are working as advertised again.
