We all take our attic ventilation for grantid. ,but when the heat starts to rise and the upstairs heat accelerates much faster I went to investigate. I found 90% of the soffet (air intake ) vents over 75 % plugged with chaff/dust and dirt and other wind driven airborne material. . .Decided to overventilate with 50% overall more ventilation in the roof section as well as the inlets. And changed all vents screening for a larger less restrictive mesh that will be a little more tolerant to Dust. And today ,As the photo shows I see some of the source. It,s your money so Keep those vents clean and save energy...... Paul :)
