searched but did not find info.
i would like to build a "condensed" solar hot water system id like to build a full copper grid using and upper and lower heater systems with runners going up and down like most collectors, but instead of using copper or alum as a heat sink, or flat plate set up i was thinking of using a/c r hard drawn piping. and overlap my copper piping as to not have any gaps i would also braes the piping with a 15% silfoss, and have this grid as one solid unit.
has this been done, seen or any concerns with this system. i know that heat expansion is a problem.. I could build an expansion loop and or coil with soft drawn a/c r tubing at the 4 ft mark making a coil. any input would be nice.
what im thinking here is to get as much heat as i can with as little foot print as i can.
for my glazing i have access to some old grocery store glass doors what had bent frame they are double panned and i think they would be great as they have some sealing left in them.
