A little story on how i got into this fun hobby

It all started about 2 years ago when i was repairing a backward incline fan and the darn thing would'nt stop spinning just from building pressure gradiants.
I made some pretty crazy designs for hawts and vawts early on and learned alot about what works and what doesnt.(kids laughing at failures)
I concentrated more on the vawt after watching the hawt search for wind on a low tower.Im getting close to dialing things in.
I think im hooked for good but love it.

Im from Wisconsin and need time to figure out things work here.No computer guy.
Thanks:)

Welcome to Green Power Talk Mark!
We have quite an active DIY wind community frequenting this forum, so you should feel right at home. With all the HAWT around it'll be refreshing to see more VAWT.

Hi Mark,

Greetings from another VAWT builder. My test machine is shown in the DIY section under 'Savonius Picoturbine'ish' thread.

Is your VAWT a Savonius, or H-Rotor, or Gyromill type?

Please bring us up to speed. Pehaps you also have some pictures?

Regards,
Mark
