Does anyone have experience dealing with solartrader.ca, 1935 Silicon Drive, Pickering ON. I only get an answering machine and no one replies to my e-mail or phone messages. Justin, the contact person, has a full voicemail inbox and does not answer his phone. Previous to their receiving a bank draft cheque I sent on Oct 28, for products Justin claimed to have in stock and ready for shipment, my e-mails were always answered promptly by Justin. Since then, I have not heard from solartrader.ca, and I am wondering about the status of my shipment, and Justin. I am thinking solartrader.ca may be a one person operation, and I am hoping nothing has happened to him, like being injured and being unable to run the business or even answer his personal phone or the solartrader.ca phone. Thanks!

I've never heard of them and don't have any info on them but a quick Google of the address gave me Crossby Dewar Inc at this address along with Solartrader.ca. Maybe they can give you some insight into where Solartrader has gone.

I hope Justin hasn't taken your money and run. The situation sounds a lot like the one I got into with a company from the same area. Took thousands of collars and never did send the product. Nothing but a hassle for the last year because of it.

FWIW, I've once sold goods to them from my business (Solacity Inc), and they promptly paid the invoice at that time. Hopefully it's a temporary glitch and you get you items!

My apologies if this posts twice. I was reviewing my reply, and attempting to make a spelling correction a when the text went blank!

Thanks Rob, That is encouraging. He seemed on the up and up, very helpful and claimed to have everything in stock and would ship just as soon as he got the cheque. Thinking back, he seemed almost too busy, like he was answering e-mails, taking orders, shipping, installing. ( although that doesn't seem to affect you at your business) After he got the cheque, he e-mailed me saying he would ship just as soon as he could get everything. Then no more communication from him. That is when I became concerned. I am trying to stay positive, but I put in an inquiry to the City of Pickering about Solartrader.ca at 1935 Silicone Dr. and I also contacted the Durham Regional Police to check into the matter to try to determine if it is fraud, or something tragic happening at the business or to him, or as you say, just a temporary Glitch. I am thankful to have this GPT Forum to give me some insight, as I have no relatives or acquaintance's nearby in Ontario to do the checking. Thanks again for all you do.

Shipment Update: I finally received conformation of shipment and a bill of lading #, which I verified. I found that my order has been shipped and is currently in Toronto, waiting for load consolidation before further shipping to me, which is expected to be Dec 2.
