New OPA tariffs are released with new Domestic Content Rules down to 22% come into effect on August 26, 2013.

As expected - microFIT Rooftop 39.6 cents/kWh

We need stability & clarity in the market, no more disruptions and suspensions.

I wonder if that also means they'll re-open MicroFIT for submissions again on the 26th...

That would be great, in that it only took one month this time for their 'review'. The last one took just about a year. It's still not so great that they can't figure out a way to simply roll from one allocation and price schedule into the next one, seamlessly. With some heads-up on upcoming changes. Can't be that hard!

Hi Rob,

As far as we understand, you can still apply, also because the OPA mentions that if you have not received the offer notice under 2.0 it will automatically offered under the 3.0 pricing.

I'm interested in the Microfit program and have registered today.
I am informed that no applications are being taken until Fall 2013 and I will hear from them when they "open." They have provided me with a Microfit number.

I'm in the Erin, Ontario area, and supplied by Hydro One.
I have a 1500sq ft bungalow with a south-facing back yard.
Thanks, Andy

Wilco, they shut down applications for MicroFIT sometime around the end of July, and told a number of people who had applied before July 26th that their applications had been terminated (so they have to apply again when it re-opens).

August 26th came and went, with no word from the OPA...
We were all holding out a little bit of hope that the OPA's cryptic messages meant that they intended to re-start the Ontario MicroFIT program on August 26th. That has not happened. It's unfortunate that we have come to the point where deciphering messages from the OPA is much like reading the tea-leaves, so much for clarity. Their announcement did mention reopening in "fall", which means we may have a working program again by December 21st.

Sad to see that this is the best the OPA can do!

MicroFIT re-opened last night. That's good news!

The OPA must have been reading my messages and decided to save themselves further embarrassment...

Yes, Just logged in and the process is now open (although they didn't actually send me an email; maybe they know I've subscribed to this forum!).
Documents are now online (Version 3).

I am glad they reopened faster this time. The 39.6 cents is as expected and the reduction in Domestic Content should help with ROI for our clients.
