I tested the next configuration

Use a Advantech EKI 1521
Connect the ethernet site to a D-LINK power-line adapter (or other brand)
Connect the second powerline adapter to your router (network)

Install the advantech serial device server configuration tool.
start the tool

this will find your EKI
give it a free ethernet IP adress on port 1
like 192.168.178.169 (when you have it free)
Mask on 255.255.255.0
gateway to your router (like 192.168.178.1)

set the EKI to use RS485 on the com port
speed must be 19.200

hardwire connect the 9 pin connector to your aurora
on the EKI it is
pin 1 signal -
pin 4 signal +
pin 5 signal Ground

On the aurora when using the 6 pin RJ 12

Pin 2 data +
Pin 4 data -
Pin 6 Ground

Create a virtual com port using the same Advantech software.
becarefull to give the right EKI type number in
put in the given ethernet adress of the EKI (the one you have put in before)
choose a comport number (like com 18)
finish this part
it wil come back saying that the port is created

go to the left tab window to virtual com ports
open up port 18
change speed to 19.200

ready

start up aurora communicator
hook it to com 18
find inverter

have fun

No need to pull long cables as it communicates over the existing power lines
access on all computers in the house
even with your wireless laptop.

remember to create virual comport on every computer you intend to use.

NOTE": make sure that your power line adapters are on the same phase of the grid.
