View Full Version : Question about my Wireless Inverter Display

Hi there and thank you for reading my question!

I've had my Solar Panels installed and in production since August of last year, slowly but surely the days are becoming longer again. Happy there!

The only thing that's not working properly for me is my wireless inverter display, it's hooked up properly, after I turn it on it shows me todays numbers, as soon as it tries to sync with the inverter though the monitor reboots by itself. Weird.

Is there anyone out there who experienced the same issue and in case you did, is there anything I can do about it?

Thank you,

Ben Colla

Can you supply some minor details. Like

- What sort of inverter (make, model, age etc)
- What sort of wireless display (same details ...)

Hi Ben,

The inverter is an Aurora PVI-6000-OUTD-US
The wireless display is a PVI-DESKTOP-BT-US

I was trying to install the software for it on my computer but unfortunately when I last checked there was only a PC version available, I am a Mac user.

Thanks for taking the time Ben,

Hi Denis,

Sounds like either a firmware issue, or a broken PVI-Desktop. Take a look at the firmware revision number; the latest I have here is 0.6.84. If yours is older, I can E-mail you the file needed to update it. You don't need a PC, it can also be done (easier in my opinion) by directly writing the file to the SD-card, if you have a card reader. With the blue-tooth version you may be able to connect to it from Mac (never tried), if your Mac supports blue-tooth.

If you're running the latest firmware we can RMA the unit and get it replaced. Contact me direct (Rob@solacity.com) in that case.

Best regards,
