Hi I'm new to this art of energy, Please can someone help, I have a Ginlong 2k inverter but it has "no lights on" and "no display". My First question is what has to be connected in order to get the display to light up. MY Second question is "what has to be connected to be able to connect the PC to do the settings GRID ON / GRID OFF" .Should you be able to connect to the PC without AC OR DC connected / or do you have to have the AC Connected /The DC connected or Both before you can access the unit via the PC / I have connected the AC and the DC but still have no display or any lights On & Cannot get the PC to connect to the unit. it seems to be dead.! The manual says to turn grid off before doing any settings (so i'm guessing the AC can be off) and you should still be able to connect the PC --- However If there is no AC "the DC IS SHUT OFF" so where does the power come from to turn the Grid on and Grid off Using the PC To DO THE settings
SO Im back to How do you get the PC to connect to the Inverter ?
can someone please please help NO LIGHTS & NO PC CONNECTION ?? Malc

Hello down load there manel
first you are missing your 220 AC or one line of 110 L1 or L2
open up the front cover and check that.
after you get power into it it will light up.
Now watch the vid on seting it up a few times.
You will need to get the feel for it then it becomes easy.
you enter the pass code 0010
then go back to turn off grid
then go to power curve and then adjust volt to watts per every 10+ volts.
save ( if you screw up it lets you know)
then go back to turn on grid then back out.
I think the PC is a wast of time never used it.
You should watch my VID on my Smart Drive

It shows how a Ginlong loads down a turbine in a heart beat.
I hope this helps.

Hi BOB Thanks for your prompt reply it is very much appreciated.
I have downloaded the manual, but it is not clear at what point the light should come on ? as mine doesn't light up at all ! can you be more precise please confirm ?
Are you saying THE RED LIGHT should light up when you turn the "AC ON" , even before you turn the "DC ON" --------------------
2ND observation the DC Terminals appear to be a Dead Short. SO when trying to apply the DC (It will not accept any DC VOLTAGE and has high current from the test rig on the bench, Please note this has not been taken past the safe 9amps but then only has a very small voltage due to the dead short situation ). So if i was to connect my panels to the DC on the inverter it will probably short out my panels and damage them,--- it was at this point i thought something might need setting using the PC but i cannot connect that either.
I need to get the DC up to 160 volts ish to get it started but it appears to be a dead short
do you have any idea what might be causing this situation
