Chinese dumping

I'm pretty conflicted about the whole Chinese solar dumping thing, if congress does actually pass some kind of tariff legislation it's only gonna mean higher per watt prices in the US.
In a rational world what the government would do is take the subsidies that go to big oil which is a mature and extremely profitable industry and move them to the RE industry.

I recently read an article on the potential tariff and how many installers were upset. It is unbelievable to me that solar installers would install Chinese modules. Not only are they screwing over the American worker, but they claim to be in a green business and when you buy from china you are supporting their horrible environmental record and shipping them half way around the world. It makes no sense. Its as bad as the "green bio-based" spray foam installer who drove up to my friends house in a hummer to look at the job.
