Before I get flamed for asking this, I'm not looking for an exact cost.

I can figure out what I can produce (size of array, capacity, etc.)

I can figure out what it costs to build a structure sufficient for roof mounted PV.

I can figure out cost of inspections, paperwork, etc.

I can figure out most anything.

But I am having a hard time getting a handle on what the capital cost of PV arrays, including inverters, etc.

So, flame away gents, what is the current APPROXIMATE cost per Watt, including roof mount racking, and excluding installation?

Hi Jason
The total installed cost for my microFIT system (12kwpv and 10kw of inverters) was $81K. So, $8.10 per kw of production.

Roof mounting Rob could supply accurate figures for. My ground mounting was higher cost than most since I had to clear the area and provide a driveway, both costs totaled $4K.

Hi Jason,

I've put our prices right on our Web site (http://www.solacity.com/PVInstall.htm). So anyone can get an idea beforehand what it's going to cost. Those prices are in essence cost + 15%, so you can figure out actual cost. I've lowered them a little from last year's prices, mainly because the US dollar got cheaper.
